This author really knows what makes kids tick! Lovely to see a book that doesn't suggest little girls will only access "girly" jobs or be princesses or fairies!

When I was little, there were no books like this around, as far as I remember. It was all about princesses and finding happiness being rescued by Prince Charming. It’s so refreshing to see a book that inspires young girls to be something different.

The Girl

Hey,

I’m the girl who could be anything! I’m not like ordinary girls who love pink and princesses; I love the rough and tumble and I have dreams about achieving anything I put my mind to, and why not?

If I want to be a pirate, sailing the Seven Seas, battling my enemies with my trusty sword, I’ll do it! If I want to shoot up into space in a rocket, fly in a plane across the world or even score the winning goal in front of thousands of people, I know if I put my mind to it, just like you, anything is possible!
