Peter A. Johnson

Peter A. Johnson is a children’s author born and bred in Greater Manchester. He has been a primary school teacher for 10 years and has taught various age groups during his career. At Salford University, Peter studied Performing Arts and Media Production and has always had a creative flair. This creativity feeds into the stories that he writes.

Peter writes fictional stories aimed at young children. He is the author of BOG…The Ogre in the Cellar, The Manchester Bee, and The Girl Who Could Be Anything.

He is passionate about writing and loves to instil this into the pupils that he teaches. Peter has always wanted to write. While at college and university, he took creative writing and scriptwriting classes. Over time, his writing moved to fictional children’s stories which would be read out to classes throughout the school to appraise.

The book series Peter A. Johnson is currently working on, Bog, aims to support young individuals’ growth mindset. It tackles a range of issues children might encounter as their tiny minds develop. But in a fun way.
